For reduce the energy consumption, Australia government declared that most electrical product need test its electricity or water consumption then make registration in government website.   For those products need test and register but actually not will get punishment.

Department of Energy (DOE)  

US Department of Energy mainly responsible for make house-hold appliance’s energy saving regulation, and EnerGuide (Minimum energy efficiency) Mark management, this is DoE registration.

California Energy Commission (CEC)

CEC mainly responsible for make CEC regulation and management registered product. Most of its regulation is from DoE. CEC declared that a test report must be from a test laboratory at which CEC endorsed.

Natural Resource Canada (NRCan)

NRCan mainly responsible make energy saving regulation in Canada. All electrical consume product enter into Canada must have NRCan mark. That means need test and registration in NRCan website. The test report must be from a test laboratory   at which NRCan endorsed.

Energy Star

Energy Star was founded by America EPA and DoE before 15 years ago, Energy Star mark is voluntary. Till now more than 2000 factories 40000 products got Energy Star mark. EPA and DoE will strengthen energy consumption product management . All products that need do Energy Star shall test in DOE/EPA endorsed laboratory then issue certificate in a authorized certification body. Energystar product list please visit here:
